But I am also thinking that I should just take the plunge and upgrade straight to Big Sur, which will get updates far longer than Mojave will, and then upgrade legacy apps as much as I can. I was thinking of updating to Mojave as an interim measure, to allow continued use of legacy apps. (Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, DxO Photo Lab 4, FCPX) All of these apps, except FCPX (10.5), can run in Mojave, which will also allow me to run some legacy apps that I still occasionally use. Also, I have apps that I routinely use that cannot be updated to their latest versions and run in High Sierra. Security updates for High Sierra ended in October. My home computer is a mid-2014 15-inch MBP running High Sierra.
